What you will study: 

Our flexible curriculum gives students the opportunity to combine their passions with the foundational coursework, while providing the latest practical applications in healthcare management. The curriculum consists of 45 credit hours of elective study, which builds upon a 21 credit hour foundation of accepted business skills, concepts, and principles.

Develop the business foundation and health care specific skills to become an effective, responsible leader in the complex health care industry. All of our MBA programs are accredited through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). This organization sets the standards for business school accreditation and has served as the academic regulator of university business programs since 1916. Less than 5% of business schools worldwide have earned AACSB accreditation. SUNY Oswego’s program is 1 of 4 AACSB accredited MBA programs in New York State.

Admission Requirements: 
Official transcript
Submit an official transcript showing confirmation of a bachelor's or master’s degree/advanced certificate. This includes any transcripts showing graduate-level coursework or post-baccalaureate degrees/certificates. Official transcripts must be sent directly from granting institution (electronic or mail). If you are a SUNY Oswego alum, your transcript will be automatically requested after entering your student ID and identifying SUNY Oswego as your school on the application.
GPA of at least 2.6
Transcripts should show evidence that your overall GPA is above 2.6.
GMAT of 500 or better
Entry into the School of Business graduate program requires a GMAT score of 500 or better.
Business essay
An essential piece to the MBA application, allowing you to clarify on where your strengths lie. Describe unique and personal experiences that have defined your professional growth, where you see yourself in five years and how the MBA program will benefit you in your future pursuits? There is not a page limit on this requirement.
Department consultation (recommended)
This is an opportunity to discuss earning your MBA degree with member of the School of Business, as well as discuss course requirements for your preferred MBA program. There will also be an evaluation of your academic and professional history to determine prerequisite Foundation requirements.
Purpose statement
Indicate your purpose for applying to SUNY Oswego for graduate education. What inspired you to apply? How will this impact your life? Identify any particular interests within the program area, discuss your future career goals, and provide any additional information which may be of help in evaluating your application.
Include a professional resume or CV that includes your academic history, professional background and any accomplishments of note. This document should provide details that support your admittance to the program.
Three letters of recommendation
Indicate three names with valid email addresses. An email request will be sent directly to the references on your behalf. These references should be able to speak to your character, work ethic and abilities.
Application fee
Prospective students are charged a non-refundable $65 fee for processing the application.
