When the Sculpture Garden was introduced in fall 2014, many around the SUNY Oswego campus were puzzled by the surreal or abstract sculptures. It took just a few months to adjust, and though the art pieces are never permanent, the area remains familiar.

9/11 Memorial

SUNY Oswego’s 9/11 Memorial is located on the southern shore of Glimmerglass Lagoon and west of The Village. Financed using funds collected by the classes of ‘02, ‘03, ‘04 and ‘05, the memorial was dedicated on Sept. 11, 2005.

In September 2015, a memorial was dedicated in honor of four victims of tragedy, who were also SUNY Oswego alumni. Located between Seneca and Tyler Halls, the memorial was dedicated in honor of two alumna who were victims of 1989’s Pan Am Flight 103, and two alumni who were victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Located adjacent to Romney Field House, the Laker Turf Field Stadium opened for use in fall 2015. The stadium includes a state of the art, multi-sport turf field, stands with seating for 1,000 persons and a press box for the media.

In 2015, construction concluded on Waterbury Residence Hall, giving the hall modernized facilities to better serve the campus. The upgrades included the installation of a new computer lab, two kitchenettes and updated bathrooms.

Rice Creek Station

The primary building houses a lecture classroom, two laboratories and a small reception area to receive visitors. Rice Creek's numerous trails allow visitors to interact with the local environment and wildlife, whether for academic or recreational purposes.

Tyler Art Gallery (TAG) Reopened in the fall of 2016, along with the rest of Tyler Hall. Along with updating the existing features, there were several additions made to the gallery.
