Online Learning

Our online degree programs and courses provide you with the ability to earn college credit where and when it fits your schedule. As with the traditional classroom, students are part of a larger learning community made up of students enrolled in the same course following a syllabus and a course schedule. Faculty will often provide guidelines for how often you should log in to the course, and may specify how they will evaluate your participation. The time of day or night that you choose to participate is up to you.

Whether you're interested in taking one course or enrolling in a degree program, the Division of Extended Learning's academic advisors are here to help you. Our office serves as a hub for adults wanting to return to college to earn a degree part-time. Nationally, adults comprise 52 percent of all students in higher education, and Oswego's sizable community of non-traditional students is an important part of our fabric.

Nontraditional Student Academic Planning

SUNY Oswego students who are enrolled in our online, part-time and Syracuse campus degree programs are advised by academic advisors in the Division of Extended Learning who specialize in meeting the needs of nontraditional students.  From inquiry through graduation the advisors help nontraditional students make the best choices in regards to continuing their education.   Whether you are deciding if a program is a good fit or creating a schedule that meets your personal and profefssional needs. we will work with you every step of the way.
