Additional Navigation

Wednesday, March 28, 2018 -
5:00pm to 6:30pm

Room 101, Lanigan Hall
With more than 50 million students enrolled in K-12 schools, and an additional 20.5 million students attend colleges and universities across America, each year, many wonder "how do we keep our students, faculty, and staff safe?" with so many reports of school shootings. John-Michael Keyes, founder of the ''I Love U Guys" Foundation and the Standard Response Protocol, will speak on school safety from a personal point of view. In 2006, his daughter Emily was fatally shot in her school after an hours-long hostage situation. His presentation includes powerful reminders of the importance of school safety, recognizing no school is immune, and offers free resources available to districts, department, agencies and organizations. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Free. For information contact jaclyn.schidkraut@oswego.edu or at 315-312-3403.
