Visiting assistant professor John Zielinski of the department of physics will discuss the upcoming perihelic opposition of Mars, which will occur on July 27. Every 16 years, Mars comes particularly close to Earth, becoming very bright in the sky and offering excellent views even in relatively small telescopes. Learn about plans for viewing Mars this summer in Oswego. Telescope viewing to follow show, weather permitting. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
