Dear members of the college community,

Once again I feel moved to write. I have an abiding faith in the people of SUNY oswego to truly live the values of the just, compassionate, supportive, and active college community we are. I am asking that each of us remember we can reach out with respect and understanding to provide care, comfort, and solace to one another as our nation faces deeply troubling times; times when violence, fear and frustration are shrouding our lives, and particularly those of African American males and their families. We can, individually and together, stand for justice and change-actively seeking to create a better world for today and tomorrow as well as recognizing and honoring those devastated by violence and hate.
