Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at SUNY Oswego builds on proven, modern and innovative teaching methods, equipment and facilities. We educate soon-to-be engineering professionals ready for the challenges of the 21st century.

The ECE program offers a combined Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a curriculum that provides a well-rounded competitive engineering education that still allows deeper studies in the five high-demand concentration areas of embedded systems, robotics, biomedical instrumentation, modern energy systems and wireless communication systems.

ABET Accredited

SUNY Oswego is one of just over 800 institutions accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET — the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. This accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates

Transfer Agreements

The ECE program at SUNY Oswego and Cayuga Community College (CCC) have established two program-to-program articulation agreements that ensure a seamless transition between the following CCC programs and the ECE program at SUNY Oswego:

Students who have obtained any of the above degrees at CCC will have to complete the remaining coursework to graduate with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in ECE at SUNY Oswego.
