Electrical and Computer Engineering Department

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at SUNY Oswego builds on proven, modern and innovative teaching methods, equipment and facilities. We educate soon-to-be engineering professionals ready for the challenges of the 21st century.

The ECE program offers a combined Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a curriculum that provides a well-rounded competitive engineering education that still allows deeper studies in the five high-demand concentration areas of embedded systems, robotics, biomedical instrumentation, modern energy systems and wireless communication systems.

Beyond the classroom

Join prestigious engineering societies — such as the IEEE (Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), SWE (Society of Women Engineers), and others — to network with other students and professionals. Extracurricular activities include participation in special-interest student clubs in robotics, power systems, telecommunications, and others, as well as participation in academic student competitions.
