About EOP

The purpose of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is to fulfill New York state's commitment to provide access, academic support and financial aid to students who show promise for succeeding in college but who may not otherwise be offered admission. The primary mission of EOP is to facilitate the recruitment, enrollment, retention, and graduation of these students. This is accomplished by providing EOP students with an array of educationally related support services and opportunities including our mandatory four-week EOP Summer Program for incoming EOP Freshmen.

Applicants for EOP consideration must meet the following guidelines and also be financially eligible for the program according to the New York State EOP financial eligibility guidelines

All applicant's paperwork must go through the SUNY Oswego Office of Admissions  (whether you are a high school graduate or transfer student applying to the EOP Program).

Please send paperwork to SUNY Oswego Office of Admissions:

229 Sheldon Hall
SUNY Oswego
Oswego, NY 13126-3599
Fax 315.312.3260

When the required paperwork has been completed and sent to the SUNY Oswego Office of Admissions, and you have been accepted to SUNY Oswego, then go to the EOP website:   (  to complete the EOP paperwork.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions:
