EOP Transfer Students

Eligibility and admission:
To be eligible for admission through EOP as a transfer you must have been enrolled in EOP, HEOP, College Discovery, SEEK or similar type program at a participating SUNY, CUNY or private institution in the state of New York. Your participation in one of the above programs must be verified be each campus in which you were a participant.  All transfer students applying to SUNY Oswego under the EOP program, must submit all paperwork to the Office of Admissions.

Transfer applicants who attended institutions that do not offer EOP or similar type programs, should contact the Office of Admissions regarding eligibility requirements.

Opportunities to learn more about SUNY Oswego's Educational Opportunity Program:

  1. Information sessions: During our information sessions, you will meet the EOP staff, and learn about the EOP program at SUNY Oswego. You will also have the oppertunity to talk to some of our current EOP students. Dates to be announced.
  2. Meet your EOP Advisor: Once you have been accepted into SUNY Oswego, your EOP advisor will personally reach out to each student and answer questions to help facilitate the admissions process.
  3. Meet and greets: Although it is strongly encouraged that each student visits the campus prior to making their college selection decision, EOP recognizes that this is not always possible. In collaboration with our Admissions Office, we will host an Admitted EOP Student Reception for students and their families. We ask that every admitted EOP student attends this reception in order to meet staff and students, gain a better understanding of our college, our EOP program, and our expectations.
