Printing to Campus Printers From Your Personal Computer

Printing to the general access labs and some departmental lab printers from your personal computer is available using the Pharos Uniprint software. This software allows SUNY Oswego employees and students to print from anywhere on-campus, including our wireless network.

Mac OS X 10.68 and Higher Pharos Printing Installers

Instructions:

  1. Download and install the printer from the list.
    1. Run software update after installing the Pharos installer to be sure you get updated print drivers from Apple.

    Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 Pharos Printing Installers

    Instructions:

    1. Install your desired printers from the list below. If you are using a 64-bit operating system, make sure to pick the printer that is listed with a "(64 bit)" at the end of the name of the printer. Otherwise, choose the equivalent printer without "(64 bit)" at the end of the name.
      1. NOTE: If you choose the wrong printer for your operating system you will receive an error during the installation that says "This is the incorrect package for your machine. Please install W2K package." Go back to the list and select the appropriate printer.
      2. NOTE: If you receive an error regarding not being an administrator right click on the file and select "run as administrator."
