Creating Accessible Content

October 23, 2019

Digital content (documents, websites, videos, audio, etc.) is accessible if it is created in a way that people experiencing an impairment or disability—whether permanent, temporary or situational—can use it. When content is accessible it works with assistive technologies like screen readers, personal voice assistants (e.g. Siri, Alexa, etc.), speech to text, screen magnifiers, braille displays, keyboards, switches, etc.

These emails are used to steal your identity or get access to data. An example of one sent to people at SUNY Oswego is listed below. This is a scam because it creates a sense of urgency that your email and account will be blocked if you don’t click on the provided link. The link will try to collect some data, most likely your username and password.
