Pause upgrading to Mac OS Big Sur

In early November, Campus Technology Services discouraged upgrading to Big Sur, Apple’s latest operating system, until testing had been completed. At this point, we continue to discourage upgrading due to incompatibilities with campus software.

Adobe Flash Player Retirement

Adobe has decided to end the development of Flash Player due to other, more popular and secure technologies taking its place. Because of this, Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after Dec. 31, 2020 and is encouraging anyone still using the player to uninstall it. For security reasons, Adobe will block Flash Player content from playing beginning Jan. 12, 2021.

New Zoom Security Feature is Now Available

SUNY Oswego’s instance of Zoom now has a feature that can be enabled to allow only authenticated SUNY Oswego attendees into meetings. This is a security feature that can be used in addition to the other features to deter Zoom bombers. It is available now for you to use.
