Suicide and Substance Use Screening

We invite students currently enrolled at SUNY Oswego to participate in our suicide and substance use screening!

SUNY Oswego, through Counseling Services, has been awarded the Garrett Lee Smith Grant by the by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association (SAMHSA) to support suicide prevention efforts. The intent of the grant is to provide a comprehensive or "layered" approach at suicide prevention. By conducting this screening, we hope to improve our services and expand the knowledge about college student mental health as it relates to substance abuse, mental health and suicidal ideation and behaviors.

The first 500 students to complete the suicide and substance use screening are eligible to receive a $5 Amazon gift card.

Take the screening from the Telecounseling Hub. Note that you will only be able to access the Telecounseling Hub if you are signed into Google using your @oswego.edu gmail account.
