Media and Outreach Requests

Interested in asking a CSC staff member to assist you with a project or provide an outreach activity? We are happy to help students, faculty, and staff with different projects or programs. Please click the media request form, keeping in mind CSC staff typically need at least two weeks notice for most requests. 

Media Requests

All media requests must be submitted through the request form. Please DO NOT send requests to individual staff members or to multiple staff members. Emails sent that way will be disregarded and only those inquiries via the request form will receive a response.

Requests for interviews with campus and Oswego community members are given priority over requests for class projects and other assignments. Media requests must be submitted with at least TWO WEEKS’ advance notice, and no interviews for class projects and assignments will occur during finals week.

Many frequently asked questions are answered on our site, and data about mental health issues, common presenting concerns, and treatment on college campuses can be found in the Center for Collegiate Mental Health (CCMH) annual reports.

Outreach Requests

The Counseling Services Center provides a wide range of programs, workshops, and training for students, faculty, and staff. To accommodate the campus community and provide as many opportunities as our staff can, we require TWO WEEKS’ advance notice to help us prepare and provide quality education.

Topics often covered in our programs, workshops, and training are: mental health services and resources available at the CSC, stress reduction and coping skills, suicide prevention and crisis management, listening and communicating skills, education about anxiety and depression, mindfulness practices, expressive arts activities, mental health in the classroom, managing test anxiety, and much more. If you are interested in having one of our counselors, graduate interns, or P2Ps present for a class, provide a program or workshop for your organization or residence hall, or train the members of your faculty and staff, please fill out the form below so we can help meet your specific needs.
