Online screenings
Online screenings are available for depression, bipolar disorder, alcohol, eating disorders, generalized anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The Counseling Services Center provides free and confidential mental health assistance for all enrolled students to encourage a healthy mind and body at Health Services.
We offer a variety of services, including individual, group and couples counseling, as well as fun outreach and educational activities designed to support interpersonal growth. The CSC staff value multicultural competence and honor the individuality of each student.
Making an appointment and consultation services
Please call 315.312.4416 to schedule an appointment at health and counseling services. If you’re not ready to make an appointment for counseling, but want to meet with a counselor stop by Let’s Talk!
In an emergency
- If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, rapid access appointments are available Monday through Friday, 9 am - noon and 1 - 3:30 pm to see a crisis counselor.
- After hours crisis line for weekends and holidays: 315.312.4416, push number 2 when prompted. A crisis counselor will speak with you immediately.
- Life-threatening emergencies may be reported to University Police at 315.312.5555, or 911 if you are off campus.
- Students may also elect to use crisistextline.org by sending GOT5 to 741741. No information pertaining to this service will be shared, as SUNY Oswego does not have a direct relationship with this service.
