Cara is a New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Syracuse University. She has a BS in Child and Family Studies and a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. Cara worked at Syracuse University in the Office of Residence Life as an Assistant Residence Director while earning her Master's degree. During graduate school, Cara was selected to work on a team of therapists who worked with transgender clients and developed a passion for diversity and inclusion. Cara has worked at several community mental health agencies with individuals, couples, families and children who have experienced sexual and physical trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD and substance abuse issues.

Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and two cats. She is an excellent cook and loves shopping and all things makeup related. Cara's favorite aspect about being a therapist is helping her clients heal through realizing how strong and resilient they are.
