Here are some examples of ways you can get involved.

"To change the world" is the number one goal of Enactus. Founded as Students in Free Enterprise and active on more than 1,000 university campuses in 40 countries, Enactus students use what they learn in the classroom to make a difference in their communities.

Working as teams, SIFE students design educational outreach projects that help people develop a better understanding of the principles of free enterprise and how to use this information to empower themselves and achieve their dreams. Their work impacts everyone from grade school students to small business owners to farmers in developing countries.

The best way to prepare for the real world is by facing real world challenges today. The teams are challenged to recruit new members, develop and implement educational outreach projects, find funding for their programs, use mass media to publicize their efforts and then present their accomplishments at the Enactus Regional Competition. Regional champion teams advance to the Enactus USA National Exposition where a national champion is crowned.

Through this hands-on learning process, students develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills beyond those of most college students. The best companies recognize the value of this experience. Every year hundreds of Enactus students start their careers with donor companies. Contact enactus@oswego.edufor more info or to get involved.
