Dear Student Meal Plan Holders,
We are very excited for your return to campus in a few days. As some of you know, this past spring the Auxiliary Services Board of Directors approved some meal plan adjustments. Half of the Board’s membership is students, and these students were actively engaged in discussions about changes and in the decision-making process. The decision was made to only offer breakfast this Fall in Pathfinder.
As we have gotten closer to the start of the semester, to ensure excellent student service, we have decided to add some additional meal options, specifically for breakfast. I write to summarize your meal options for the Fall of 2023.
In addition to full hot breakfast being available at Pathfinder Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM-10:00 AM; a Continental Breakfast with made to order eggs, is being added to Cooper and to Lakeside dining centers, also available Monday through Friday beginning at 7:30 AM.
The menu for these continental breakfasts will include all beverages, a toaster station with a variety of spreads, fresh pastries, Danishes, croissants, donuts, breakfast breads, 11 varieties of cereal, fresh fruit, granola, yogurts, vegan and gluten free options, and of course made-to-order-eggs.
All three dining centers will offer Lunch and Dinner, Monday through Friday; as well as Brunch and Dinner on weekends. Cooper will host Late Night Dining 7 days a week, from 8:30 PM-11 PM.
Additionally, retail options are expanding this fall! The Lake Effect Café in Penfield Library, Crossroads Grill in Marano Campus Center, and Fusion Café in Shineman Center will all open at 7:30 AM Monday through Friday, where you can use cash, credit, or your Laker Dining Dollars.
Once the semester has begun, we will be talking to you to learn if these meal options are meeting your needs. With your input, necessary adjustments will be made for the Spring of 2024. If you have any questions, please contact Dan Siddons, Director of Resident Dining at (315) 312-2333.
