Finding relative frequencies for
a standard normal variable.

Has
the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl had an effect

interval is developed to help investigate the
point.

recovering from anorexia nervoa?
Burn Time of
Ohio Blue Tip Kitchen Matches
How
long do they burn? As we'll see, there's quite a
bit a variability. In addition, the distribution
is nonnormal. We'll obtain a confidence interval
for the mean burn time of all such matches.

average fill of the soda bottles too little?
A
soft drink distributor believes the machine that
fills bottles is out of calibration. Are the
bottles, on average, underfilled? A significance

is used determine this.
