Accessing data files

Exercise Data Sets

To access the data for Exericse EE out of Chapter CC have the URL read:

http://www.oswego.edu/~srp/bps/exCC-EE.txt

The EE will be replaced by the 2-digit exercise number (use 01, not 1, etc.) and the CC will be replaced by the 2-digit chapter number (use 01, not 1, etc.). The chapter number comes first. For instance, to access the data for exercise 38 in chapter 1 (Exercise 1.38, that is) type:

http://www.oswego.edu/~srp/bps/ex01-38.txt

You must use small letters.

Example Data Sets

Some of the data sets used in the text's examples are available. To access the data for Example EE out of Chapter CC have the URL read:

http://www.oswego.edu/~srp/bps/egCC-EE.txt

The EE will be replaced by the 2-digit example number (use 01, not 1, etc.) and the CC will be replaced by the 2-digit chapter number (use 01, not 1, etc.). The chapter number comes first. For instance, to access the data for example 8 in chapter 1 (Example 1.8, that is) type:

Some of the tables in the text are available. To access the data for Table TT out of Chapter CC have the URL read:

The TT will be replaced by the 2-digit table number (use 01, not 1, etc.) and the CC will be replaced by the 2-digit chapter number (use 01, not 1, etc.). The chapter number comes first. For instance, to access the data for table 7in chapter 1 (Table 1.7, that is) type:
