Final Self Reflection Report

My learning experiences in this class have profoundly increased my computer literacy.  As our society becomes more technologically advanced, it is becoming more important to include emerging technologies in the classroom.  I was fortunate to be taught by someone who knows both the positive attributes and the pitfalls of technology in the classroom.  Professor Yang has been my guide in discovering and implementing various technologies, and because of this I am a better teacher.  Below is a list of projects that I created in his class.

Title: Word Processing

Description: In this assignment I created a lesson plan using a number of text management techniques.  I used text wraparounds, pictures, and various types of bullets and backgrounds.

Reflection: Although I have created lesson plans before, I was happy to learn new ways to make the lesson stand out and look more professional.  This example is far better than the average lesson plan normally seen in classrooms.

Title: Spreadsheet

Description: For this assignment I used data from the classroom to create a number of useful visuals and organized the data efficiently.

Reflection: This type of project is very useful because it can help determine how effective instruction is for each student, and which students may need more help.

Title: PowerPoint Presentation

Description: For this project, two other students and I created an interesting Powerpoint presentation on the integration of Art and Technology.  We each chose an influential person in the world of Art and Technology.

Reflection: This was a group project that employed the essential teamwork and cooperation that is ever present in the workplace. It was fun to create because it allowed me to focus on two of my favorite subjects: Art and Technology.  I was also were able to present information on my favorite Artist, Theo Jansen.

Title: WebQuest

Description: This assignment was to create a WebQuest for students.

Reflection: This was the most difficult project, but also the most rewarding.  I decided to create a WebQuest that would allow students to view an alternative to post-secondary education.  I really enjoyed creating my own businesses and encourage others to do the same.  I look forward to inspiring others to become self-sufficient and to follow their dreams.
