We require surveyors, geometers, and architects who are occupied in
dividing land and other property, and whose duty it is to take
measurements, and establish boundaries, as well as those whose business it
is to conduct or remove water, to likewise employ their spare time for the
purpose of teaching others, and extending their own knowledge. Hence they
shall enjoy immunity from civil services and must take a certain number of
pupils for the purpose of giving them instruction.
