Genetics:
Especially human genetics, genetic epidemiology application of
genetic methodologies to conservation biology problems and in the management
of rare and endangered species in zoos and in the wild.
Natural History:
The breeding and social behavior of the South American Titi monkey
(Callicebus moloch), the Owl monkey (Aotus trivirgatus),
and Goeldi's marmoset (Callimico goeldii). Natural history, breeding
and maturation of captive Louisiana milk snakes (Lampropeltis triangulum
amaura). Natural history, genetics, and captive propagation of the
bog turtle (Clemmys muhlenbergi) and spotted turtle (Clemmys
guttata) as well as population and toxicology studies employing the
snapping turtle (Chelydra serpentina).
Evolution:
I am keenly interested in evolutionary processes including speciation,
sub-specific variability, isolating mechanisms, and the impact of human
activities on natural habitats.
