Summary 
 
The field studies program will introduce students to the scientific method by studying the variety of different ecosystems, landforms, waterways, and wildlife in Costa Rica.  Students will stay at working field stations and lodges throughout Costa Rica. 

They will particuipate in local projects, conduct their own research and meet with local researchers and conservationists.  Many optional activities will also be available. 
 
Included 

Transportation: 

    •  Group round-trip airfare:  La Guardia/SJO/La Guardia on program dates. 
    •  Round-trip group airport transfers in Costa Rica and all transportation to listed sites. 
     
Accomodations: 
    •  Ecology San Luis in Monteverde or similar (5 nights). 
    •  San Miguel Biological Station (4 nights). 
    •  Mawamba Jungle Lodge in Tortuguero or similar (2 nights). 
    •  Europa Hotel in San Jare or similar (2 niqhts). 
    •  All rooms are 2-4 per room except Ecolodge which is bunkhouse and San Miquel which is dormitory style. 
     
Meals:  13 breakfasts, 12 lunches, and 11 dinners 

Local naturalist guide in Montverde and San Miguel 

Medical and travel insurance for the program dates

How To Apply 

1)  Complete the following information and submit to 102 Rich Hall. 
2)  A $250 non-refundable deposit applicable to the program fee is required within 14 days of application to secure your place on the program 

Students will be fully reimbursed should the program be canceled due to low enrollment.
