Science Teaching Resources There are many wonderful print resources at Penfield Library and the Project SMART Math/Science Center to help you plan problem-solving science lessons for children. Be sure to check out all the guidebooks to children's science literature and internet sites on reserve. The rest of this page links you to internet sites for teachers, including lesson plans on almost every possible science topic. In addition, there is a sampling of virtual field trips on the internet that are designed for children. You will probably need to use what you know about "teaching science backwards" to enhance the problem-solving nature of activities from both print and internet sources. But you will love how children react to a creative combination of hands-on, printed materials, and internet activities!
