Increasing the production and use of wind-power and other renewable energies can drastically reduce our dependency upon limited resources. If we can educate the public about these alternative energy sources with help from the media to correct the misconceptions, perhaps there would be fewer communities merely perceiving wind farms as "visual pollution." Furthermore, with ideal help from the government, incentives could be offered to people choosing to power their homes by local wind-farms. Hopefully then more people would not only tolerate nearby wind-turbines, but would actually desire these perpetual energy sources. Harnessing energy from wind, like most renewable energy resources, has a very minimal impact on the environment, requires no finite fuel, and is a great option for sustainable energy in our nation.
