Welcome to my home on the Web
Hi, I am an Associate Professor in the Physics department at SUNY Oswego. I teach a wide range of courses from Introductory Physics and Astronomy courses to Cosmology and General Relativity. If you need to contact me, use the link above. The links above will take you to my course web pages.
My main research interests center around stellar pulsation and evolution, cosmology, the extra-galactic distance scale. I am a theorist who has recently dabbled in data analysis and observations. My research is funded by NASA/HST, NSF and the American Astronomical Society. I have a number of collaborators in the US and abroad and work with quite a few undergraduates. If you are an undergraduate interested in working on a student project, dont hesitate to drop by and see me or email me. The links above will take you to my research pages.
If you want to skip to the NSF funded International Research Experiences for Undergraduates program at SUNY Oswego go here.
The results of the summer 2008 IRES program are here.
The summer 2009 IRES program page is here.
I also have an active public outreach program with local schools.
Outside of work, Im pretty busy with the three (yes three!) women in my life, Lisa, Lara and Cleane.
