Plato began his career and life of philosiphy as a student of Socrates. His studies brought him to travel all over the world to places such as Egypt and Italy. When Plato first started writing he tried to convey Socrates's teachings by presenting accurate reports of dialogues that took place between them. Plato's most known and influential work is The Republic, written 360 B.C..
