Donald Giffin was born 8-3-1915 and died on 11-7-2003. He was a professor of zoology at many different universities throughout the country.

During Giffin's work as a zoologist he did work with animal behavior, animal navigation, acoustic orientation and sensory physics. In his book Question of Animal Awareness, he argues that animals are concious creatures just like humans.
