About Us

The Lake Effect Research Challenge was created by a team of Librarians at Penfield Library, SUNY Oswego. Team members consist of the following:

Emily Hart, Special Instruction Librarian; now Web Services Librarian at SUNY Upstate Medical University

Jim Nichols, Assistant Coordinator of Library Instruction and Distance Learning Librarian

Shannon Pritting, Coordinator of Access Services

Karen Shockey, Coordinator of Library Instruction

The Lake Effect Research Challenge was first released in September of 2008.

The Challenge was accepted into the ALA/ACRL Instruction Section's Peer Reviewed Instructional Materials Online (PRIMO) project in February, 2009.
