Description: Languages and Cultures is an experimental course exploring the diversity of the French-speaking world -- from art and cuisine to soccer, marketing, and politics. The course will make extensive use of computing, Internet, and World Wide Web resources. No prior experience with computers is required; students will receive training in the necessary electronic and computer literacy skills as part of the course.


The Conference: Culture, Technology, and the Human Experience Saturday, April 13, 1996 in the Hewitt Union A day-long investigation of the Project 2000 theme consisting of student project displays from the Languages and Cultures course, invited lecturers, films, food, etc.

The Connection: Television news, arts, and entertainment from around the world is now being broadcast twenty-four hours a day on campus channel 11 by satellite via SCOLA.
