Lab #11 "Spectrum of Atomic Hydrogen" is due Tuesday, May 3rd and will be collected at the beginning of the lab period.
On Tuesday, May 3rd, the final exam for PHY 212 lab will be given. The exam consists of 3 parts. The first part consists of multiple-choice questions. The second part consists of math problems where students are required to show all work. That specifically means that students must write the equation, substitute values with units, and solve for the correct answer with units, rounded to the correct number of significant digits. The third part of the exam consists of questions which describe a typical error made by a lab student who is doing one of the labs from this past semester. The student is required to explain how this error affects the calculated results of the lab. Does it cause the calculated result to turn out to be too large or too small. Equation sheets will be provided.
