Homework will be assigned for each section covered. Homework is not collected.  Do not take this to mean that homework is optional.

Quizzes will be on each Tuesday except for exam days. There are 11 quizzes in all, the first of which is February 1. Each quiz covers the material of the previous week. There will be no make-up quizzesOn some days, we will not have a quiz.  In that event, you are to complete the lab sheet and return it the next time the class meets.

Project: There will be one project  in which you gather your own data and perform appropriate test.  You will need to write up your results in a 2-3 page paper.  You will not be introduced to many of these tests until later in the semester.  However, early on we do look at how data is collected.  This project is due by the last day of class, December 11.

Exams: If you cannot take an exam because of illness (or other excusable reason), you must speak with me before the exam is scheduled in order to receive alternate consideration. The two midterm exams are scheduled for October 7 and November 18.  The final exam is comprehensive.  The final exam is held in our regular classroom.  The 8:00 class has its final on December 16 at 8:00AM, the 9:35 class has its final on December 18 at 8:00AM

Miscelaneous

All cell phones are to be turned off and stowed away during class.

Students entering or leaving the room in the middle of class disrupt the concentration of others. Please be considerate and limit your breaks to true emergencies.

If you have a disabling condition which may interfere with your ability to successfully complete this course, please contact the Disability Services Office.

"Intellectual integrity on the part of all students is basic to individual growth and development through college course work. When academic dishonesty occurs, the teaching/learning climate is seriously undermined and student growth and development are impeded. For these reasons, any form of intellectual dishonesty is a serious concern and is therefore prohibited."
