Primary Grade Tests

If you are writing a test for students in grades K, 1, or 2 you have to think about if you are testing reading or testing another skill.  If you are not testing reading then you must write up the directions so that students can hear the test read to them.  You want to know if they know and can do the skill, not if they are proficient readers.

The teacher directions could work well printed at the bottom of the page.  Ask for samples of this work.
