15 things I wish someone told me as a freshman

   1.  There are computer labs all over campus besides the one in the library

  1. Pay for an S.A. sticker in Hewitt Union to ride the bus for $2.50 instead of $4.50 to Carousel Mall and its free to ride the bus in Oswego with the sticker.
  2. Kraftees bookstore (There is an off campus bookstore on Bridge Street that usually sells books at lower prices than the book fair).
  3. Going to Mary Walker Health Center is free!!!  (Many antibiotics are free as well)  If you’re sick, don’t hesitate to get better before it gets much worse!
  4. Don’t take on too much…one semester I worked 25 hours a week and did 18 credit hours.  I also was not getting much sleep and got 4 sinus infections in one semester L  So, get your rest!!!
  5. There are 5 dining halls on campus and you’re allowed to go to any of them.
  6. There is a check cashing service in Hewitt Union
  7. There is also a U.S. postal service in Hewitt Union
  8. Swimming at Lee Hall is free with your Student I.D.
  9. Oswego sunsets are rated # 2 in the world next to Japan
  10. College may take you longer than four years to complete with Internships, Study Abroad, and more
  11. We have a print quota in the computer lab!!!  Go print your papers and don’t waste your ink…We get 200 pages.
  12. We have a plus plan that we can use all over campus and we can use it at Domino’s pizza
  13. Go to class or you can be dropped from the course
  14. Do not be afraid to seek help from professors
