Class and ID selectors

ID selectors are layout elements that you create once, and Class selectors are page properties that you can reuse again and again. ID elements include the header, navigation and content space. Class elements, like font properties can be reapplyed throught the site. ID selectors start with a '#' and class tags with'.'.

This box is an example of a possible ID selector.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nullam bibendum, lacus iaculis interdum ultrices, quam diam porta tellus, vel fermentum purus urna eget nisi.

Type properties can be altered throughout with different class tags

Grouping

Grouping allows you to give tags the same properties by placing them one after the other in css.

Nunc fermentum massa in sem accumsan lobortis. Proin quis odio in nunc laoreet consectetur a et tellus.

In this example I was able to change the font color of the three class selectors to red by grouping.

Nesting

This process allows you to change properties to different selectors through one tag.

Vestibulum sollicitudin hendrerit pulvinar. Nulla facilisi.

Nunc in metus est. Nunc luctus nisl a diam tempor id sagittis leo vestibulum.
