 ASSALAM ALAIKUM

This assignment is meant to last a week, as a lot of information will be spread to the students of the ninth grade. The purpose of this lesson is to spread the real practice idea of the religion of Islam. Islam has been perceived as a negative religion since the crisis in Afghanistan made its way into the United States. With this lesson, many will learn about the foundation of Islam and what the practice calls for. Many will learn the benefits of the religion and how well the organization had helped with the abolishing of slavery. Islam being a major fact to slavery in a positive way, it is right for all students to learn all angles to a historical event such as slavery. It is right for all students to learn the different terms that arrived from different cultural groups.

            This lesson on Islam and Slavery is very important for students at the ninth grade level to learn. They will be working in individually, but can work in groups, to perform all the activities in the three centers. The centers will have three different tasks that consist of computer research, reading materials and questions that will be assessed. With the lesson taking a week, there will be a lot of interactions amongst the students and different materials that will help them retain the information on the practice of Islam and how beneficial they were to slavery.
