Laker Turf Stadium kick-off ceremony
Prior to the men's soccer game, SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley will officially open the facility together with Vice President for Student Affairs Jerald Woolfolk, Director of Athletics Sue Viscomi and esteemed alumnus and member of the 1966 SUNYAC men's soccer championship squad Dan Scaia, a 1968 Oswego graduate. The first 200 students in attendance will receive a free "Laker Turf Stadium Kickoff" T-shirt and a free soft pretzel. Free. 312-3056.

Concert: Bach cello suites by Matt Haimovitz
Renowned Israeli-born soloist Matt Haimovitz performs all six Bach cello suites, while visiting four Central New York locations. (The “moveable feast” begins with a Tuesday live-at-noon broadcast from the studios of WCNY FM (91.3), followed by a 3 p.m. appearance at the River’s End Bookstore. The musical tour resumes at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Tyler Gallery in Penfield Library.) Majors and Programs
Programs in Accounting are registered with the State of New York for candidates seeking admission to sit for the CPA examination. The 150 Hour Accounting BS/MBA program is the first combined program offered by a state university college so registered, with innovative combined MBA/bachelor's degrees in psychology and broadcasting also available. Students planning to enter Public Accounting receive the foundation to take the examination with additional preparation.
Our Management Accounting degree provides an attractive option for accounting students interested in corporate as opposed to public accounting. Our Finance bachelor of science degree program prepares students for positions in financial institutions such as commercial and investment banks, mutual funds, brokerages and insurance companies, as well as in the finance and account departments of manufacturing, retail, and non-profit businesses.
Our groundbreaking program in Risk Management and Insurance prepares graduates for careers in risk management, risk analysis, insurance underwriting, management of insurance operations, insurance agencies and insurance adjustment.
At Oswego, you'll find outstanding opportunities for internships, many through our alumni connections. Events like Meet the Accountant Night provide special recruitment advantages and connections.As a student, you can be involved in clubs such as Beta Gamma Sigma (international honor society of AACSB-accredited business programs), the Financial Management Association, our award-winning Students In Free Enterprise, the international scholastic and professional organization Beta Alpha Psi or our Student Advisory Council.
The School of Business has full-time faculty with expertise in the diverse fields of management and several adjunct faculty teaching in specialized areas, committed to outstanding teaching. The faculty is also engaged in research and consulting.
