James C. Jackson was one of the earliest anti-slavery organizers in Oswego
County. James and Lucretia Brewster Jackson left Oswego County for Madison County in 1838, where James edited The Liberty Press in the 1840's.By the 1850's, the Jacksons operated a health establishment at Glen Haven on Skaneateles Lake.
