Academically:
     Having trouble? Get a Tutor.
     Advanced Time Management
          Review each of your syllabi and create a schedule for tests, projects, and papers
     Meet with your First Year Advisor and FirstChoice Instructor

Socially:
     Join a Club or Organization
     Attend events/workshops/hall council
     Participate in intramurals/recreations, go to althetic games
     Get involved in Service Learning
     Understand that relations from home will begin to change
          (friends, family, commitments,etc.)

          Meet with a professional in the Compass to:
              Find out where you are in the process of:
                  Discovering yourself
                  Developing your skills
                  Defining your goals
                  Distintuishing yourself from other students  
             Come up with an Action Plan to move through each stage

Talk to the Compass Navigators, First Year Peer Advisors and/or Laker Leaders about their experiences.
