Columbus Day Open House
The Open House will include: Admissions presentations, a chance to talk with faculty, student-guided campus tours, select tours of academic facilities and an opportunity to meet with representatives from Career Services, International Education (study abroad) and Experience-Based Education (internships). Establish a mentoring relationship. It is recommended that you meet and connect with at least one faculty or professional staff member. This connection is important to help you network with professionals in your field of interest because it may help you acquire advice, skills, projects, jobs and other opportunities that may lead to a well educated career path. One way to get started in making a connection with a professional is to conduct a professional interview. Using this interview assignment provides a platform and guided method for you to meet and connect with faculty and professionals in the community.

Conduct an independent study with a professor requires connecting with a professor through mutual interest of a particular field.
