On the eve of the May commencement, alumni celebrate the passing of the torch of learning from faculty and staff to the newest class of graduates. Faculty and staff will lead students and alumni representing various past class years in a procession to mark the seniors’ last night as undergraduates. Free. 315-312-2106.

Alternative Break trips are in-depth, community-based, group volunteer experiences SUNY Oswego students have the opportunity to participate in. Winter Break trips are typically the last two weeks of winter break and Spring Break trips are for one week during spring break. Locations and service projects change each year. More information can be found on the Center for Community Service/Service Learning website.

4. Participate in GST302-Service Learning
GST 302 Service-Learning is a one-credit course that gives you the opportunity to enhance classroom learning through service to the community. Each student enrolled in GST 302 is required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of service, three written assignments, journals, and participate in three discussion groups. To register for GST 302, visit the Compass located in 145 Marano Center.
