Exploring Majors Week is here to help you get on the right path!

Exploring majors Week presented by the Compass provides an opportunity for students to attend various workshops that will help them to identify their strengths and interests in order to determine which major is the right fit!

Sherlock Holmes Searching for a Major

There will be three different workshops offered which will focus on different aspects of the decision making process for choosing the right major.

Exploring Majors Workshop This workshop will:

  • help clear up any questions, thoughts or worries you might have about the major exploration process
  • help you narrow down your options to a program that will fit your needs
  • get you started in the major exploration/confirmation process
  • introduce you to various resources so that you can choose what will work best for you!

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator  Myers-Briggs logo- This workshop will help you to learn more about yourself, reflect, and explore what majors and careers are a good fit for your personality.

Strong Interest Inventory  Strong Interest Inventory logo- In this workshop, you will identify your interests and they will be matched with majors and careers so that you can find something that you will enjoy learning about.

Please note that you MUST pre-register for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Strong Interest Inventory workshops that you wish to attend.  Registration and self-assessments must be completed by Wednesday, October 3rd.  To register, email Christy Huynh at christy.huynh@oswego.edu
