SUNY Oswego offers a wide array of diversity, celebrating the many cultures
and customs that co-exist on campus. Students experience diversity firsthand
through a number of outlets for involvement.
Hart
Global Living and Learning Center is a unique residential community
experience that integrates academic and social aspects within a global context.
Each semester, residents enroll in a one-credit International Studies (IST
190/390) course in addition to one of many approved global-issues courses.
A large number of visiting study-abroad students choose to reside in Hart.
Students who wish to experience this living arrangement must fill out an
application.
Getting involved on campus is an excellent way to experience diversity at
SUNY Oswego. A number of cultural student organizations
celebrate their heritage while educating, and sharing it with, the college
community. These organizations and clubs often host annual banquets that are
open to the public and provide cultural aspects ranging from ethnic foods and entertainment to costumes and clothing. Other programming includes special lectures and
presentations throughout the semester.
