GENIUS Olympiad award ceremony
Winners among the 331 finalists will receive awards in the global high school environmental competition. Many students dress in native costume for the ceremony and wave their nations' flags. 312-2698. Megan BasslerMegan is a senior Psychology major with a minor in Biology. She is from a rural town outside of Albany and is still undecided on what she will do after graduation. Megan has been a peer advisor for the psychology department and a teaching assistant. She also likes animals (especially her dog Oakley), hanging out with her family and friends and being outside. Megan is excited to be a Counseling Center Peer Educator during her senior year!
Suzanne CampbellSuzanne is a 20 year old senior majoring in Philosophy-Psychology with a Public Justice minor. She is Co-President of the Active Minds chapter on campus and loves to be a part of important causes on this campus. Suzanne likes traveling, the outdoors, art, photography, astrology, interior design, cooking, concerts, astronomy, and classic rock.
Rebecca DuquetteBecca Duquette was born on February 28, 1993. in Plattsburgh, NY, where she lived her entire life. She has two brothers and one sister. She is now junior at SUNY Oswego, where she is a double major in Music and Psychology, and hopes to become a Music Therapist once she graduates. Becca likes music and singing, photography, playing ice hockey, driving around in her VW Beetle, and hanging out with her sorority sisters in Alpha Epsilon Phi.
Ashley is a senior who is interested in Psychology and has been interning for the Counseling & Psychological Service Department on campus. In addition to her internship, Ashley serves as President of the SUNY Oswego chapter of the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) Senior Advisor of the Association of Black Psychologist (ABPsi) and is Director of Marketing for the Black Student Union. Ashley is planning on going to graduate school for Mental Health Counseling with the hopes of becoming a Counselor and Psychology professor.
Sabrina GonzalezSabrina Gonzalez is from the Bronx. Her family of origin is from the Dominican Republic. Sabrina is currently a Senior Psychology student at SUNY Oswego and she is planning on going to Graduate School to pursue a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Sabrina loves cooking, learning new things, meeting new people, and traveling. Her favorite color is purple!
Kathleen KratzKathleen is currently a Junior Philosophy-Psychology major. She enjoys doing crafts, knitting, taking walks, and watching movies. Her goal is to become a Psychologist or a Social Worker in the future. Kat is very involved on campus, including the P2P program as well as being a Peer Advisor in the Psychology Department.
Lauren is from Buffalo, NY. She enjoys Buffalo Sabres Hockey, harsh winters, iceskating during the colder months, concerts, road trips, family/friends vacations, rollerblading, and bonfires during the summer. Lauren's ultimate goal is to earn her Psy.D and pursue either clinical psychology or family practice. On campus, she also works with auxiliary services catering events, she is a TA for PSY100 and enjoys weekly Cut the Craft meetings.
Annibel Tejada is 20 years old, and a senior Psychology major, and her favorite color is purple. She loves chocolate, music and enjoys dancing. Annibel loves hanging out with people who have different ideas and enjoys learning about other people's culture. She's planning on going to graduate school for Mental Health Counseling and hopefully become a Marriage and Family Therapist and one day, she would love to pursue a Ph.D. in the Human Sexuality field.
Lauren TomainoLauren is 21 years old, born and raised in Uitca, NY. She will be a senior this year and she is studying Psychology with a minor in Gerontology. Lauren hopes to one day help people with mental illness. She rides horses and started riding when she was only 5 years old. Lauren's favorite place in the whole world is the ocean and she am happiest when she is with my entire family. Her personal motto is that the best medicine is laughter and dogs.
