Portrait of Founder Edward Austin Sheldon

- Edward Austin Sheldon founded the Oswego Primary Teachers' Training School in 1861.  For two hours in the Campus Center an artist from Splash! will honor SUNY Oswego's 150th anniversary by creating a work of art that will capture the essence of the college and Edward Sheldon.

Mini Carnival

- This free event is for students and their younger siblings.  Enjoy crafts, games, painting, coloring, bounce house and snacks before seeing the zoo animals at the "Live Animal Show."

FFW Spelling Bee:  "So you think you can spell?"

In honor of their Saturday night performance of  The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, the Oswego State Theatre Department is hosting a Spelling Bee in the Campus Center.  Students, family and friends will face off in this classic battle of words with the actors joining in on the fun and contest. Spelling champion wins two tickets to the Saturday night theatre performance. 

Amazing Adaptations:  Live Animal Show
Two Shows:  2 PM & 3 PM, Campus Center Auditorium
The Seneca Park Zoo's (Rochester, NY) animals are their heart and soul.  On Saturday, the Seneca Park Zoo will share them with SUNY Oswego students and their families.  Animal handlers from the zoo will bring live animals to SUNY Oswego for two afternoon programs in the Campus Center.  Get up close and learn about these animals and how they adapted through the years in this exciting program.  www.senecaparkzoo.org

Open House at King Alumni Hall

Legacy students (all students who have a parent who is an Oswego State alum) and their families are invited to a hors d’oeuvres reception and open house.  Come meet and mingle with fellow alumni and other legacy students, see Oswego State memorabilia as you tour your alumni house, have an opportunity to talk with the Director of the Oswego Alumni Association, and learn about opportunities and scholarships available for our legacy students.  Reservations are required for this event by Friday, October 14.  For more information please contact the Alumni Office at 315-312-2258.  To register:  www.oswego.edu/alumni/legacy.
