Campus Recreation Spring 2014.pdf

Campus Recreation is off and running with another exciting week of special events. Along with all of the events listed above, another important event for the calendar is the Border Crossing. The Border Crossing event provides a unique goal for people who are interested in swimming. Over the course of a month, students will log the distance in which they have swam in Lee Pool. The goal will be to cover the distance of Lake Ontario, from Oswego to Canada. Visit our website for pool hours. On Saturday, February 8, a champion was crowned in the 10th annual Campus Recreation No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Tournament. At the end of the day the 30 person field was topped by Kevin Kania who received a $50 campus bookstore gift card. Austin Mcgrath finished as this year's runner up. All the participants enjoyed food and refreshments provided by Auxiliary Services. Winterfest '14, sponsored by Residence Life & Housing and Campus Recreation was held on Sunday, February 9 outside of Funnelle Hall. The day consisted of many events including a toboggan building, snow sculptures, and crafts. The Winterfest Altland Alpine Course winners were Kristina Dimartino in the women's division, and John Ashley in the men's division. The Build Your Own Toboggan Race winners were Katie Walther and Max Raichelson.
