Linda LeFevre, FYRE Coordinator

Jackie Wallace

Linda LeFevre is excited to be starting her second year as the First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Coordinator and GST-100 instructor for Johnson Hall. Since all three of her children are in college, Linda has a passion for assisting students in the transition from high school to college and helping them achieve a healthy balance between academic success and personal/social development. She is also a full-time faculty member in the Math Department and coordinator of the SUNY Oswego International Student Conversation Partner Program. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, Linda worked as an engineer for several years before taking time off to be a full-time mom. She re-entered the work force some 15 years ago here at SUNY Oswego. Linda has ample experience as a teacher, having taught grades K-12 in various settings (private school, public school, and home school). She is also involved in adult education through the YMCA and various organizations. Linda enjoys reading, crafts, hiking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband Joe (who teaches in the Chemistry Department and is an avid photographer) enjoy traveling and are active in their local church.
