Onondaga Lottery (Room Selection Phase III-b)
If you would like to live in Onondaga next year, here’s what you need to do:
To squat in Onondaga (stay in your suite), you must fill the suite.
Anyone who wishes to live in Onondaga MUST enter the Onondaga Lottery as an “even-numbered” group; specifically, you must have two, four or six people in your group. Individual students will not be allowed to sign up to live in Onondaga.
Current Onondaga residents who wish to squat in Onondaga:
- Login to myOswego and click “Student Room Selection.”
- Follow instructions and pay your $100 Housing Deposit online; if you must pay the deposit in person you can do so at Student Accounts, 408 Culkin Hall.
- Login to myHousing.oswego.edu (using your Oswego.edu email username and password) and submit your housing preferences. This is where you will indicate that you wish to squat.
In order to squat, you must fill the suite. This means you will need to request five other individuals as “roommates.” All six of you must submit each other as “roommate requests” or none of you will be able to choose a suite (or room anywhere on campus).
- Return to myHousing after 4 pm on Friday, April 11th to find out your Start Time for Phase III (III-a April 14th & 15th).
- Return to myHousing at or after your Start Time to confirm that you wish to squat in the suite. At this time, you will assign group members to specific bedrooms in the suite. Your “requested roommates” must also go to myHousing and confirm that they wish to be your suitemate in the suite you have chosen.
Suite groups that include at least one current Onondaga resident who wish to choose a different suite (or wish to squat but cannot fill the suite), can choose a suite in Onondaga as long as they are part of an “even-numbered” group (two, four or six students). To do so:
- Login to myOswego and click “Student Room Selection.”
- Follow instructions and pay your $100 Housing Deposit online; if you must pay the deposit in person you can do so at Student Accounts, 408 Culkin Hall.
- Login to myHousing.oswego.edu (using your Oswego.edu email username and password) and submit your housing preferences. This is where you will indicate that you wish to “Enter the Lottery for a Suite in Onondaga.”
In order to choose a suite, you must be part of an “even-numbered group” (two, four or six people). Each member of your group must submit each other as “roommate requests” or none of you will be able to choose a suite (or room anywhere on campus).
- Return to myHousing after 4 pm on Friday, April 11th to find out your Start Time for Phase III (III-b April 17th & 18th).
- Return to myHousing at or after your Start Time to choose your actual suite. The first person in your suite group to go online will choose the suite for your group. At this time, s/he will assign group members to specific bedrooms in the suite. The other “requested roommates” must also go to myHousing and confirm that they wish to live in that suite.
Groups that do not include any current Onondaga residents who wish to choose a suite, can participate in the Onondaga Lottery as long as the group is made up of two, four or six students. There is no guarantee that a suite will be available for you. To enter the lottery:
