WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO LIVE IN THE VILLAGE?
The Village townhouse community is for students of at least junior status who have lived on campus at Oswego for a significant portion of their undergraduate experience. Specifically, a student is eligible only if s/he:
- Started at Oswego as a freshman, and
- At the time of application (February 2012):
- has at least 45 earned credits,
- has lived on campus at Oswego for at least 3 regular academic semesters (not including current semester or summer/winter terms), and
- is currently enrolled as a full-time student.
OR
- Started at Oswego as a transfer student, and
- At the time of application (February 2012):
- has at least 45 earned credits,
- has lived on campus at Oswego for at least 1 regular academic semester (not including current semester or summer/winter terms), and
- is currently enrolled as a full-time student.

WHEN DOES VILLAGE HOUSING SELECTION HAPPEN?

- Accept terms of Village Housing Agreement
- Pay the $100 Housing Deposit via myoswego.oswego.edu

- Current Village residents (individuals and groups, including squatters)

- Groups made up of more than 50% current Village residents

- All other Village Housing Selection participants

PRIORITY FOR VILLAGE HOUSING SELECTION
Village Housing Selection Participants will choose townhouses in this order:
- VILLAGE SQUATTERS LOTTERY - Matched groups of current Village residents who are filling a townhouse that at least 1 member of the group currently occupies.
- VILLAGE RESIDENT LOTTERY - Current Village Residents who are not squatting.
- VILLAGE MAJORITY LOTTERY - Matched groups made up of more than 50% current Village residents. Specifically, matched groups of 6 including at least 4 current Village residents and matched groups of 4 including 3 current Village residents.
- VILLAGE GENERAL LOTTERY - All other Village Housing Selection participants. A participant is one who completes Step 1 of the Housing Selection Process (pays the $100 Housing Deposit and accepts the terms of The Village Housing Agreement).
Current Village residents who choose to participate in Lottery #1, #2, #3 ARE GUARANTEED a space in The Village for next year. Current Village residents who choose to participate in the VILLAGE GENERAL LOTTERY ARE NOT GUARANTEED a space in The Village for next year.

Assignment to The Village for 2012 - 2013 does not guarantee a resident's ability to return to The Village for 2013 - 2014. The priorities and process for Village Housing Selection for 2013 - 2014 and beyond will be determined by November 1, 2012, with input from residents of The Village and other residence halls as well as other constituent groups.

For all 4 lotteries, priority will be established as follows:
- Class of 2012 members will be assigned the lowest (best) lottery numbers
- Class of 2013 members will be assigned next best lottery numbers etc.
